“We’ll perfect the recipe, we’ll taste the recipe, we’ll work through the procedures,” says Basile. “Sometimes we’ll take it to test, but most of the time—because these are seasonal menu offerings—we’re very comfortable going right to market.”
Successful products stay on the menu. Depending on consumer feedback, items that struggle to connect with customers may be removed, reworked, or tried again the following year. “It’s really a collaborative process. We continue to seek ideas and search out the best culinary concepts,” adds Basile. “We’ve stayed pretty true to the brand—our mantra when it comes to customer service is whatever it takes.”
